A sample of stem-tracheid is not semi-circular like other stem samples, because the stem-tracheid sample is a lateral section. There are some long and reddish areas on the sample. The plant cells compose the entire sample, but each plant cell doesn’t show internal structure.

Long Reddish Area with Scaly Texture

The long and reddish areas seem to have scaly textures inside of them. These textures are similar to scales on animals’ hairs.

	400x	It looks like the scales surround a tubular shaped object at the middle of the long and reddish area.

Long Reddish Area without Scaly Texture

The pictures are focused on the other reddish areas that don’t have the scaly texture. Inside of these areas is partially empty.

	400x	These empty areas look destroyed. The inside substance’s edge seems to be torn-off.
