Circular Holes Formed by Red Fiber

These circular holes are found at the middle of the root. The size and shape of the holes is  not consistent. Inside of the holes seems to be empty. These holes are formed by red fibers.

	100x	The surface of the root is basically green, but the edge of the holes is reddish.
	400x	This reddish fiber that divides the hole into two seems to have a bumpy pattern.

Surface of the Root

The surface of the root looks like transparent tissues or web. Many holes are formed by greenish fibers. The size of the holes is also not consistent. Some holes are covered by transparent layer.

	200x	There are some holes covered by transparent layer, but other holes are not covered with it. The shape of the holes is not consistent.
	400x	Many transparent layers seem to overlap these few holes. The holes at the upper part of the image barely appears to have internal structure.

Edge of the Root

The edge part of the root seems to be darker than the inside part, because there are many dark reddish substances are gathered around the edge of the root.

	200x	A big dot at the middle of the hole seems to be a part of internal structure of the hole. Other dark reddish particles are tiny and scattered around.

Small Object on the Left Bottom Corner

At the left bottom corner of the sample slide is a small object. This object looks similar to the root, but it is much smaller.

	100x	The surface of this object appears to be less transparent and more greenish. At the middle of it, a pink part seems to have a kind of pattern.
	400x	This object is comprised of many  plant cells. There are a few dots, which are speculated to be nuclei. The pink part has a hole at the middle of it.
